After the downfall of the Kakatiya kingdom, several minor kings emerged. Some of them were successful in establishing a strong kingdom that many in their dynasty could rule. One such dynasty was that of the Musunuru Nayakas. During the reign of the Kakatiyas, the Musunuru Nayakas were chieftains. The first among these Nayakas to become the king was Prolaya Nayaka. He ruled from Rekapalli in the current day Bhadrachalam. More on the dynasty and their rule can be found in this PPT. Download to read.
