Hemophilia

Presentations | English

Haemophilia is a rare disorder in which blood clotting takes longer or does not clot due to a lack of clotting factors. The signs and symptoms differ depending on the clotting factors of the individual. Some symptoms include unusual bleeding after the vaccine, blood in the urine or stool, nosebleeds with no known cause, joint pain or swelling, and so on. Clotting factors are proteins that aid in the formation of clots by interacting with platelets. Haemophilia is a condition that can be inherited or acquired. Deep internal bleeding, bleeding into the throat or neck, joint damage, infection, reaction to clotting factor treatment, and other complications can occur. The PowerPoint presentation contains additional information on this subject.
