“Harivarasanam “ is a famous Hindu devotional song predominantly played in Malayalam language. This song was sung by the renowned playback singer Ganagandharvan K J Yesudas. This song was first released in the Malayalam historical movie “Swami Ayyappan” which was released in the year 1975. This song was widely accepted by the Hindu Community of South India and has been translated to other South Indian languages like Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. This song is considered to be a lullaby played for putting the Lord to sleep.
“ഹരിവരാസനം” എന്നത് മലയാളത്തിൽ പ്രധാനമായും ആലപിക്കുന്ന ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു പ്രശസ്തമായ ഹിന്ദു ഭക്തിഗാനമാണ്. പ്രശസ്ത പിന്നണി ഗായകൻ ഗാനഗന്ധർവൻ കെ ജെ യേശുദാസാണ് ഈ ഗാനം ആലപിച്ചത്. 1975-ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ “സ്വാമി അയ്യപ്പൻ” എന്ന മലയാള ചരിത്ര സിനിമയിലാണ് ഈ ഗാനം ആദ്യമായി പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയത്. ഈ ഗാനം ദക്ഷിണേന്ത്യയിലെ ഹിന്ദു സമൂഹം പരക്കെ അംഗീകരിക്കപ്പെടുകയും തമിഴ്, തെലുങ്ക്, കന്നഡ തുടങ്ങിയ ദക്ഷിണേന്ത്യൻ ഭാഷകളിലേക്ക് വിവർത്തനം ചെയ്യുകയും ചെയ്തു. ഈ ഗാനം ഭഗവാന്റെ ഉറക്കുന്നതിനായി ആലപിക്കുന്ന ഒരു ഗാനമായി കണക്കാക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.
