The seeds of civilization are in every culture, but is city life that brings them to fruition. The Harappan Civilization highlights to world history that the culture of a civilization is the art and literature through which it rises to consciousness of itself and defines its vision of the world. It treasures the beautiful life span of almost 2000 years (3300 - 1300 BCE) of all levels and moments of different group of people which may be extended from modern - day northeast Afghanistan to Pakistan and northwest India. The history of its development is really interesting, because the first trace of this civilization was brought into light when some of the British labourers discovered many fire baked bricks lodged in the city terrain of fairly uniform in its moulding. It will be highly eye opening and enlightening if our researches can pierce together about this mysterious and well structured early day culture and the life of more than 23500 residents who were supposed to have lived in and around 150 hectares of Harappa with remarkable organization such as well ordered wastewater drainage granaries, brick platforms protective walls and possibly even public baths.
