Greeks are particularly proud of their culture; they speak of their country with intense passion, expressing the feeling that Greek culture is a definition of their national and ethnic belonging. Wonderful regional traditions, religion, music, language, food and wine, are the major composites of the culture in mainland Greece and of the Greek islands creating an incomparable cultural base. Greece is a multi-cultural country of great and diverse interests. It has been influenced by its location at the confluence of the East and the West and by the continual occupation of Greece and its people from the Romans. It also famous worldwide for many renowned people and their positive contribution to world culture through the centuries. The ancient culture with the broadest and most long-lasting impact on the future of Western civilization was that of Greece. Greeks are responsible for introducing many literary forms and were pioneers in in many professional fields such as physics, philosophy, history, geometry, and biology. The Greeks pride themselves on as well as their ethnic and national sense of belonging. The following Presentation will take us through an enchanting journey of the rich Greek culture.
