K R Gouri Amma or Kalathilparambil Raman Gouri Amma is famous for her revolutionary movements in the Kerala state. She holds the record of second longest serving MLA in the Kerala Legislative Assembly and is the first woman minister of the Kerala state. She was one of the former leaders of the Communist party in Kerala and is the first revenue minister of Kerala. Her autobiography titled Aathmakadha won the Kerala Sahithya Academy Award in the year 2011. She was considered to be one of the strongest politicians of Kerala.
കെ ആർ ഗൗരി അമ്മ അഥവാ കളത്തിൽപറമ്പിൽ രാമൻ ഗൗരി അമ്മ കേരളത്തിലെ വിപ്ലവ പ്രസ്ഥാനങ്ങൾക്ക് പ്രശസ്തയാണ്. കേരള നിയമസഭയിൽ ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതൽ കാലം എം.എൽ.എ ആയിരുന്ന ഇവർ കേരള സംസ്ഥാനത്തിലെ ആദ്യത്തെ വനിതാ മന്ത്രി എന്ന റെക്കോർഡും നേടിയിരുന്നു. കേരളത്തിലെ കമ്മ്യൂണിസ്റ്റ് പാർട്ടിയുടെ മുൻ നേതാക്കളിൽ ഒരാളായ അവർ കേരളത്തിലെ ആദ്യത്തെ റവന്യൂ മന്ത്രിയുമാണ്. ആത്മകഥ എന്ന പേരിലുള്ള അവരുടെ ജീവചരിത്രത്തിന് 2011-ലെ കേരള സാഹിത്യ അക്കാദമി അവാർഡ് ലഭിച്ചു. കേരളത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും ശക്തരായ രാഷ്ട്രീയ പ്രവർത്തകരിൽ ഒരാളായി അവർ കണക്കാക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.
