Do you know what is more challenging than raising a kid? Me neither. In general terms, good parenting/upbringing is all about raising a child to be a good citizen and an asset to society. But good upbringing is simply more than just raising a child to be perfect for society. It can also play a vital role in making a child good for himself and the people around him. Raising a child to be better is worth more than making him an “asset” to society. He need not be an asset but he shouldn’t be a threat to society. Good parenting includes boosting a child’s self-esteem, encouraging and appreciating kids for good deeds, raising them with personality traits like kindness, empathy, and compassion. Children can learn a lot from their parents and the people around them. They even look up to their parents as role models and they simply imitate the elders. So it is very important what we put in front of our children. They can learn a lot from elders and peers and even strangers too. Parents should develop a better understanding of the kid and also build a relationship where the kid can trust his parents without a second thought. Good upbringing involves both the parents being role models to the kid because the kid starts to learn from home in the initial developmental stages of the child will have a pivotal role in cultivating a child’s character.
