Again a letter from Paul, a good theologian. This letter is for the church in Galatia, a mix of Jewish and Gentile converts. He emphasizes righteousness through faith, and not through works. Paul goes on to encourage them to not return to the bondage of the law but to live in the freedom Christ provides. Christian lifestyle is based on the power of the Holy Spirit and not of the flesh. In conclusion, what matters is that a christian becomes a new man, no longer a slave to the laws. By faith a man is saved and by that faith he lives day by day- through the grace of God. Key verse from the book of Galatians: (2:16) Know that a man is not justified by observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by observing the law, because by observing the law no one will be justified.
