Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have been ruled by many dynasties over the millennia. Naturally, the various rulers have built many a fort for themselves. Many of these forts can be found even today, mostly in ruins. This multi-part series brings to you interesting information on these forts, including the names of the rulers who built them, their unique architecture, the wars fought there, and so on. Covered in this part is the Rajapeta fort in the Yadadri Bhuvanagiri District of Telangana. The fort as well as the village in which it is situated were both constructed by a king named Rajarayanna, who ruled the area in 1775 AD.
