Quality control tests are vital to support activities for hygiene and food standards to meet regularly and customer demands. Global demand for dairy continues to increase in large part due to population growth, rising incomes, urbanization and westernization of diets in countries such as China and India. Today, milk, butter, cheese, yogurt, ice cream and other dairy products are consumed by more than 6 billion people worldwide. The dairy industry is a traditional industry with a low margin commodity. Among the leading milk producers are India, the United States, the European Union, Russia, Pakistan, Brazil, China, Ukraine, New Zealand, Australia, Argentina, and Mexico. Milk has a short shelf life; however, products such as milk powders have allowed a global industry to be developed. The implementation of strategies to improve and strengthen milk process optimization is of vital importance within the food and dairy industry. The world’s milk is predominantly cow’s milk, followed by buffalo milk.
