A letter to the Ephesians is written by Paul, now a prisoner because of Christ. In this letter, he encourages christian maturity. Paul covers the topics of the church as a building, spiritual gifts, new man and walking in love, unity, wisdom and light. His writings in this letter can be broken down into: 1) Principles with respect to God's accomplishment 2) Principles regarding our present existence 3) Principles concerning our daily struggle. He also reveals the mystery, which is now revealed in Christ, that was hidden to the Old Testament saints. Key verse from Galatians: (4:4-6) There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to one hope when you were called—one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
