Can you think of any process without any control factor to regulate it? No, it's impossible. The management process too will be incomplete and become useless without the control function. Control is a tool that helps an organization measures and compares its actual progress with the established plan. The term control involves regulation of activities, resources and behaviour. It is a goal-oriented function of management. It measures the progress of activities, finds deviations if any and initiates corrective action to accomplish goals as per the plans. The control factor helps to increase the efficiency of operations by minimizing irrelevant and wasteful actions which is crucial for the success of any organization.
