Social networking be considered as a boon or bane? Social networking is the use of Internet-based social media sites to stay connected with friends, family, colleagues, customers, or clients. Social networking can have a social purpose, a business purpose, or both, through sites like Facebook, Twitter, Linked In, and Instagram. A social network is a website that allows people with similar interests to come together and share information, photos, and videos. People engaged in social networking may be doing so as a personal or a business endeavor. Social networking services can help young people develop their interests and find other people who share the same interests. They can help introduce young people to new things and ideas, and deepen appreciation of existing interests. Adolescents spending more and more time on the Internet and social networking sites (SNSs) are prone to restrict physical activities, obesity, insomnia, eyesight-related problems, body aches, and so forth. Social networking sites are responsible for the increased risk for depression, anxiety, loneliness, self-harm, and even suicidal thoughts. Social media may promote negative experiences such as Inadequacy about your life or appearance.
