"Bullying is just a part of growing up". We might have heard statements like these but bullying is serious and it cannot be justified. Bullying can affect everyone—those who are bullied, those who bully, and those who witness bullying. It is linked to many negative outcomes including impacts on mental health, substance use and suicide. It can affect people irrespective of their age and can take a toll their self esteem. Those who are bullied can experience negative physical, social, emotional, academic, and mental health issues. The intensity and effect can vary from person to person and for some it can destroy their entire life. Lack of empathy and kindness leads to bullying.
