Many persons with eating disorders appear healthy but are actually quite sick. Yes! That is correct. Despite the fact that the phrase "eating disorder" is in the name, eating disorders are about more than just food. They're complicated mental health issues that frequently necessitate the help of medical and psychiatric professionals to change their trajectory. Eating disorders are a group of psychological illnesses that lead to the development of poor eating habits. They may begin with a food, body weight, or body form preoccupation. If left untreated, eating disorders can have substantial health repercussions and could lead to death in severe circumstances. Eating disorders can manifest itself in a variety of ways. The majority, however, entail severe dietary restriction, eating binges, or purging behaviours such as vomiting or over-exercising. Although eating disorders can affect persons of any gender at any age, teens and young women are the most commonly affected. By the age of 20, up to 13% of teenagers may have had at least one eating issue.
