The Kurnool, Kadapa, Ananthapur and Chittoor Districts of Andhra Pradesh are collectively known as Rayalaseema. This was a region that was once ruled by Sri Krishnadevaraya. Hence the region is called Raayalaseema, or the land of the great ‘Raaya’. In fact, it was in 1928that Sri Chilukuri Narayanarao garu suggested the name for this region. Compared to the coastal districts of the state, Rayalaseema is slightly underdeveloped. However, it is not lesser than any other region in terms of historical significance and cultural traditions. This presentation brings to you the various specialities from the four districts of Rayalaseema.
