Dihydrogen is a diatomic molecule composed of two hydrogen atoms. It is a molecule made up of two hydrogen atoms connected by a single bond. Dihydrogen has the molecular formula H2. It serves several purposes. It functions as an antioxidant, electron donor, fuel, a human metabolite, and a food packaging gas. In the laboratory, it is made by reacting zinc with either dilute sulfuric acid or hydrogen chloride. Because hydrogen is the lightest element on the modern periodic table, dihydrogen is the lightest known molecule. At standard temperatures and pressures, dihydrogen exists as a colourless, tasteless, and odourless gas that is highly combustible.View this PPT for more information.
