There is no single individual on the planet that does not know the myth, the man, the legend that is Diego Maradona. Born on the 30th of October, 1960 to a poorer family, Diego Armando Maradona was raised on the southern outskirts of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Diego Maradona emerged the first player to set the world record transfer fee not once but twice, in 1982 and 1984. His international football career with Argentina is nothing short of legendary. He has played in a total of 4 FIFA World Cups and in 1986 he led the team to a glorious victory, also bagging the Golden Ball as the tournament’s best player. A brother to four elder sisters and two younger brothers, Maradona received his first ever football as a gift at the age of only three years old. Since the very minute, up until his demise, Maradona never left football behind and neither did the sport nor the leave him.
