The Book of Daniel is a portion of the Hebrew Bible and the Christian Old Testament. The book tells the story of Daniel, a Jew who was exiled to Babylon during the supremacy of Nebuchadnezzar (605 - 562 BC). Stories of Daniel being considered one of the philosophers during the Babylonian exile in the sixth century BC have been circulating for centuries. Written in the 2nd century by the Seleucid emperor Antiochus Epiphanes during the Maccabean Rebellion, which followed an experiment to forcibly expel the Jews. The first six chapters are six stories of a unique kind. The following six chapters are narrated by the Prophet himself. The first chapters tell the story of the faith of Daniel and his friends in the palace Chapters 1, 3, 6 and the interpretation of Daniel's royal dreams and visions (Chapters 2, 5). In the second part, Daniel's dreams and interpretation is given to them by the angel Gabriel."
