India is a land of innumerable dance forms. Of these, Kuchipudi, Mohiniattam, Kathak, Kathakali, Odissi, Manipuri, Bharatanatyam and Sathriya have been recognised as classical dances. The Telugu states have for ages been known to patronise and respect classical dances. This is the very land where Kuchipudi took birth and evolved. This presentation is an attempt to capture in brief, the life and style of various Telugu classical dancers. Included here are Sri Narayana Theertha, Sri Sidhendra Yogi, Chintha Vekataramayya garu, Chinta Krishna Murthy garu, Vedantham Lakshminarayana Sastry garu, Vedantham Satyanarayana Sarma garu, Vempati China Satyam garu, Srimati Sobha Nayudu garu, Srimati Yamini Krishnamurthy gary, Raja Reddy & Radha Reddy, and Nataraja Ramakrishna garu. Aslo included here is a brief history and the current status of the dance form of Kuchipudi.
