The eligibility of the parties to enter into a contract is one of the most basic parts of a legal contract. Section 11 of the Indian Contract Act, 1872 states the capability of an individual to enter into a contract topic to three factors; To attain maturity, to be in good mental health and not to be disqualified by the laws relating to that contract. Section 11 states, "An individual is legally entitled to enter into agreements with the majority of the people in good faith, and shall not be barred from agreeing subject to any law subject to him". The minor makes a contract and even if the majority arrives the contract is invalid and he cannot accept it. Also, no void contract can be accepted. Only large, well-intentioned individuals who are not legally disqualified are eligible to sign. A person who is found to be mentally ill may be barred from dealing with their affairs and the court may announce him mentally incompetent. If a person is considered incompetent, a guardian is appointed to oversee the person's property and personal affairs.
