Since the dawn of computers, Artificial Intelligence has been a far-flung objective, and with new cognitive computing models, we appear to be moving closer to that goal every day. The concept of cognitive computing, as well as its applications, are bound to have far-reaching impacts on not only our personal lives, but also industries such as healthcare, insurance, and more. It stems from a combination of cognitive science and is based on the basic premise of simulating the human thought process. The benefits of cognitive technology are far superior to those of traditional AI systems. Artificial intelligence, neural networks, machine learning, natural language processing, sentiment analysis, and contextual awareness are all used in the cognitive computing process to handle day-to-day issues in the same way that people do. Cognitive computing, according to IBM, is a sophisticated system that learns at scale, reasons with purpose, and interacts with humans in a natural way.
