Jnana Karma Sanyasa Yoga is the 4th chapter in the Bhagavad Gita. Like how the title suggests, this chapter concerns the importance of the practice of 'jnana', 'karma' and 'sanyasa, each term meaning, 'knowledge', 'action' and 'renunciation' respectively. This chapter comprises a total of 42 verses through which depicts the path of winning joy through knowledge and action. In this chapter, Lord Krishna speaks highly about the significance of Karma and about leading a life while carrying out actions without expecting anything in return but instead offering it to Lord as worship. It is here that Lord Krishna introduces and imparts the Transcendental Knowledge to Arjuna, also revealing the knowledge was received by only a handful of selected beings. He also conveys the need or reason behind His reincarnations, stating that it is to restore peace.
