Cells are the basic structures of all living organisms. These organelles carry out tasks such as making proteins, processing chemicals and generating energy for the cell. Cells are the basic building blocks of all living things. The human body is composed of trillions of cells. They provide structure for the body, take in nutrients from food, convert those nutrients into energy, and carry out specialized functions. As cells are the smallest units of life, all organisms are made up of one or more cells. The understanding of cells is used when learning about the processes later on such as, absorption, how electrical signals are carried, secretion, why some things such as lack of oxygen can cause death, etc. Can we live without cells? No, humans cannot live without cells. It is because cells are responsible for all the life processes occurring our body. It is because of cell that we and every living organisms exists. Cell is the most important thing in the body system of all living organism.
