The interior and external portions of the cellular membrane both contain the cytoplasm of the cell, which is a semi-liquid or gel-like substance. The interior of a cell is primarily made up of water, salt, and numerous other organic molecular components that are encased in the cell membrane. A cell would probably disintegrate if its cytoplasm were absent. Students will learn more about cytoplasm and its significance for the survival of cells in the human body via the PPT.
