"Business services are those services which help in the successful running of a business. These are a recognisable subset of economic services, and share their characteristics. The essential difference is that businesses are concerned about the building of service systems in order to deliver value to their customers and to act in the roles of service provider and service consumer. Business services are generally the activities that assist business yet does not deliver a tangible commodity. For instance, Information technology is one such business service that supports various other business services such as shipping, procurement and finance. Most of the businesses today are inclined towards such specialized business services. A good business service aligns IT assets with the needs of a company's employees and customers and support business goals, facilitating the ability of the company to be profitable."
