Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar was an Indian nationalist, lawyer, Dalit activist, and proponent of Buddhism who was born on April 14th, 1891. But most significantly, he was the Indian constitution's principal architect. He was born into a low-income household and has dedicated his entire life to battling caste-based prejudice. He overcomes many financial and social challenges to become the first "untouchable" to graduate from college with a degree in economics and political science, and eventually, a doctorate. He read a lot of the Buddhist texts before creating the constitution and used them as his source of inspiration. Ambedkar created an Indian-inspired constitution that was influenced by western models. See this PowerPoint to learn more about his life's journey.
