Bioremediation is the use of microbial species to clean up soil and groundwater that has been contaminated by discharged chemicals. The bioremediation process stimulates the growth of specific microbes that use the discharged chemical contaminants as a source of food and energy. Bioremediation is the use of microbes to clean up contaminated soil and groundwater. Microbes are very small organisms, such as bacteria, that live naturally in the environment. Bioremediation stimulates the growth of certain microbes that use contaminants as a source of food and energy. Bioremediation is when we get organisms to use their natural processes to metabolize environmental pollutants. It is a great option for assisting us in cleaning up our environmental messes. If we can support the metabolism of the biological organisms metabolising the contaminants then we are good to go.
