How beautiful is our world? When we open our window and we see beautiful flowers , isn’t it a sight for the eyes? Have you heard the beautiful melody of the birds chirping? Our global ecosystem is an intricate design that we are yet to completely understand. Biodiversity is one of the many wonders of our world; the variety and variability of life on Earth. However, global biodiversity is reducing rapidly. Species are disappearing faster than expected. Albert Einstein once quoted, “Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.” Isn’t it true? We should preserve every scrap of biodiversity as priceless while we learn to use it and come to understand what it means to humanity. At a natural rate, we expect to lose eight species every 100 years. Isn’t it devastating? In the light of these events, shouldn’t we try to study and know more about biodiversity, so that we can protect and preserve it?
