“Diversity is the mix. Inclusion is making the mix work” Diversity in the workplace means employing individuals who vary in gender, age, religion, ethnicity, cultural background, sexual orientation and education level. Diversity management is a process intended to create and maintain a positive work environment where the similarities and differences of individuals are valued. It is not just valuing the similarities and differences, but also utilizing it to achieve the organisational objectives. Diversity offers many benefits to both companies and employees, such as greater creativity and innovation and a richer employee experience. Through diversity management all the employees can reach their potential and maximize their contributions to an organization's strategic goals and objectives. This diversity of talent means a broader range of skills among employees, as well as a diversity of experiences and perspectives which increases the potential for increased productivity.
