We all have heard about the beauty of naturally occurring polar lights. The Aurora, also known as the polar lights, are caused due to disturbances in the sky in the magnetic polar regions like Arctic and Antarctic. The excitation of ions in the sky, precisely magnetosphere, is responsible for the generation of wide bands of vibrant colours produced in the sky. It is a beautiful astronomical light show which can be seen in both North Pole and South Pole which are called the Northern Lights and the Southern Lights respectively.
