"The 102nd chapter or Surah in the Holy Book of Quran is titled At-Takathur or ""Eagerness"" or ""Competition for Increase"". The title name was derived from the very first verse in the Surah, where there is a mention of the word 'Takathur', and it consists of a total of 8 verses (ayah). The chapter is primarily believed to have made its revelation in Mecca, during the earlier period of Muhammad's proclamation of his prophethood, although there are different views where some believe that if was revealed in Madina. While the last Surah speaks about the Last Day, Surah At-Takathur addresses how the world and the worldly competition failed to remember the Hereafter.
