Onam is a Malayali Hindu harvest festival held in the Indian state of Kerala every year. It is the state's official festival and includes a variety of cultural events, making it an important annual event for Keralites. Onam celebrates King Mahabali and Vamana from Hindu mythology. The song Arimayilonappattukal is sung by Vailopilli Sreedharamenon. Vyloppilli Sreedhara Menon, a Kerala poet and Indian poet, was a Malayalam poet.
