Surah Ar-Rahman is the fifty fifth chapter in the Holy Book of Quran. The name means ""The Most Beneficent"" and holds a certain importance as it was derived from the very first verse in the Surah, where the name of God is mentioned, addressing the blessings of His and His mercy on Jinn and humankind both. It comprises of a total of 78 verses (ayah), divided into 3 Rukus or Sections. The period of its revealation is still unknown. There has been allegations of the Surah being revealed in Mecca while some claim it was revealed in Madina. The chapter discusses the the greatness of Allah and his creations, while recognising his blessings. Surah Ar-Rahman is broadly regarded as the 'beauty of the Quran'.
