According to Hindu mythology, the Mountain Meru and his wife Menaka pray to Lord Vishnu and are granted two sons, who are also mountains. One of these sons is called Ratnaka. He is the very hill on which the Annavaram Satyanarayana Swami Temple is located. Local legend also states that two people, Raja Inuganti Venkata Ramarayani Bahadur and Eeranki Prakasaravu had the same dream at around the same time in which Lord Vishnu asks them to construct a temple for him on this hill. So, in 1934, these two people took up the construction of the Annavaram temple. More on the temple, the legends and mythology surrounding the temple is provided in this presentation. స్థలంపురాణం ప్రకారం మేరుపర్వతం, ఆయన భార్య మేనక శ్రీ మహా విష్ణువు అనుగ్రహం తో ఇద్దరు కుమారులను పర్వతులుగా పొందుతారు. ఆ ఇద్దరు కుమారులలో ఒకడు రత్నకుడు. ఆ రత్నకుడే ఈనాడు అన్నవరంలో సత్య నారాయణ స్వామి వెలసిన రత్నగిరి గా పిలవబడుతుంది. శ్రీ రాజా ఇనుగంటి వేంకట రామరాయణి బహదూర్, ఈరంకి ప్రకాశరావు అనే బ్రాహ్మణుడు - వీరిద్దరికి ఏకకాలం లో స్వామి స్వప్నం లో కనిపించి “నన్ను శాస్త్ర నియమాలతో ప్రతిష్టించి సేవించండి” అని అదృశ్యం అయ్యారట. స్వామి చెప్పిన విధంగా ఆలయాన్ని 1934 సం. లో నిర్మించారు. ఈ ప్రదర్శనలో ఈ అన్నవక్షేత్ర పురాణాలు, మహిమలు, దేవాలయ విశిష్టతలు, దేవాలయంలో పంచబడే ప్రసిద్దమైన ప్రసాదం గురించి విశేషాలు సమకూర్చడం జరిగింది.
