"The Amazon Forest is well recognised for its extravagant biodiversity and abundance in both plant and animal life. One of the world’s largest forests, the basin stretches across South America, covering over 4 million square miles. It thus encompasses almost 40% of the entire continent and about 60% of Peru. The forest is home to more than approximately 400+ species of mammals, 1300 species of birds, 400+ species of amphibians and 350+ different reptile species. The presentation aims to educate students regarding all the different kinds of animals in the Amazon Forest. It has been disheartening to listen to news stating the reports of deforestation and other environmental issues and threats to the wildlife of the Amazon rainforest and it is time people take action not against nature but for it.
