The Amazon is an incredibly unique place. It is home to more species of plants and animals than any other terrestrial ecosystem on the planet -- perhaps 30% of the world's species are found there. It is the world’s largest rain forest and river system, and the most biologically diverse place on Earth. It contains millions of species, most of them still not described. Some of the most incredible animals of the Amazon are felines, monkeys, and river critters.
