You are most probably familiar with the word 'amino acids'. If you are wondering where you heard it from, unless you are majoring in biology or is a medical student, it was definitely from our very schooling days and our biology classes which a lot of lo wished to bunk, just like any other class. Widely considered the building blocks of proteins, amino acids are large globular structures of organic compounds that consists of amino and carboxylate functional groups. They are deeply essential for the proper functioning of the body. Isoleucine, leucine, histidine and methionine are a few examples for different amino acids.
