Alzheimer's disease is a progressive disease, where the brain cell connections and the cells themselves degenerate and eventually die. It leads to destroying once memory and other many other critical mental functions. It is caused by the abnormal build-up of proteins in and around brain cells. The risk of developing Alzheimer's disease increases by many conditions that damage the blood vessels. Age is the biggest risk factor for Alzheimer’s disease. There are many other Alzheimer's disease risk factors. They include head injury, stroke, genetics/Family history, gender, mid cognitive impairment and so on. Many studies indicate that chronic stress can also be one of the major reasons for Alzheimer's disease. The most challenging part is there is no cure for this medical condition, but medication and management of strategies may temporarily improve symptoms.
