The main aim of dental x-rays is to highlight the decay or trouble in the mouth, teeth, gum, and jaw. X-rays help to treat dental problems in the early stage. Dental x-rays are mainly classified into two types, namely intraoral and extraoral. Intraoral x-rays are the most common type of dental x-rays, and carried inside the mouth, whereas, the latter is done outside the mouth.
