"The seventieth chapter or Surah in the Holy Book of Quran is titled Al-Maarij or ""The Ascending Ways"" or ""The Ways of Ascent"". The title name was derived from the third verse in the Surah. It comprises a total of 44 verses (ayah) which are again divided into 2 Rukus or Sections and it is believed to have been revealed in Mecca, presumably in the earlier days of Muhammad's proclamation of his prophethood. The main subject of focus is again, similar to that of the chapter or Surah Haqqah, is the Last Day and the Day of Judgement. The studies by several scholars state that they do agree with the major thematic structure of this very Surah. The matter of resurrection is also deeply addressed through this Surah.
