Surah Al-Kahf or "The Last Dialogue" is the 18th Surah in the Holy books of Quran. It comprises of a total of 110 verses (ayah) divided into 12 Rukus or Sections and is believed to have been made its revelation in Mecca, approximately five years before the migration of Prophet Muhammad's to Madina. According to Islamic beleif, the Surah was revealed when the Meccans enquired and expressed themselves on the advices of the Jews about the “Sleepers of the Cave” “Story of Khidr” and “Zulqurnain”, for these legends and stories were present in the books of the Israelites although the Arabs had no prior knowledge of the same, to which Prophet Muhammad gave answers to. Thereby, God revealed the true story and comforted the believers; at the same time, warned the disbelievers as well.
