"Surah Al-Adiyat or "" The Chargers"" is the hundredth Surah or chapter of the Holy Book of Quran. The title was derived from the first verse of the chapter where there is a mention of the word ‘Adiyat’ and it consists of a total of 11 verses (ayah). Although it is broadly considered a Meccan Surah, similar to the presence of uncertainty regarding the period of revelation, last three Surahs (Surah Al-Qadr, Surah Al-Bayyinal and Surah Al-Zalzala ), even this chapter’s time of revelation is still to be dtermmines thoroughly. While some believe that the Surah was revealed in Mecca towards the earlier period of Prophet Muhammad’s proclamation of his prophethood., some believe that it was revealed in Madina. The Oath of the Racers is what starts off the 100th Surah, where it depicts horses and the quality of their devotion surpassing the quality of humankind’s devotion for their God."
