In psychology, the term "aggression" refers to a range of behaviours that can result in both physical and psychological harm to yourself, others, or objects in the environment. Aggression centers on hurting another person either physically or mentally. Although specific causes of aggression are not known, some studies have shown that abnormal brain chemistry or structural changes may play a role. Environment and genetics also seem to be involved. Aggressive behaviours can lead to academic, employment, financial, legal and relationship problems. For example, you may use aggressive behaviour to get revenge or provoke someone. You may also direct aggressive behaviour towards yourself. It's important to understand the causes of your aggressive behaviour. The presentation gives further insight on the topic.
