The Bhagavad Gita consisting of a total of 18 chapters presents a significant epic in the Hindu culture. The text is initiated when Arjuna feels deeply sad seeing it was his own family preparing themselves to fight against each other to death, he surrenders himself to Lord Krishna and asks for a valuable solution. It is the teachings of Lord Krishna that is the wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita. Throughout the text, Lord Krishna advises Arjuna and gives him valuable lessons and revelations and helps him dispose of his sadness. He is trying to let Arjuna go on with the battle. In the beginning, He educates him on the existence of the material body and the soul. He conveys on the significance of action without expectation of anything in return but instead advices him to devote it to the Greater Power of God. Sri Krishna goes on to reveal his identity as the Supreme Entity and as Arjuna realises, falls on His feet asking for forgiveness. In the end, Arjuna is enlightened and ready.
